Accessibility Statement.
Barrierefreiheitserklärung gemäß BFSG / European Accessibility Act
Last updated: 11 April 2026
1. Scope
This statement applies to the Circulus web application at this domain. We are committed to making our digital service accessible to everyone, in accordance with the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz — BFSG) and the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882).
2. Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. WCAG 2.1 AA is the benchmark referenced by the European standard EN 301 549.
3. Measures taken
- Semantic HTML and ARIA attributes across interactive components.
- Keyboard-navigable controls (buttons, toggles, dialogs).
- Visible focus indicators on interactive elements.
- Alternative text for informational images; decorative images marked with empty alt attributes.
- Automated accessibility testing via axe-core in our CI pipeline.
- Colour contrast reviewed against WCAG AA requirements for body text and interactive elements.
4. Known limitations
While we strive for full compliance, some areas may have limitations:
- Some decorative UI elements (editorial theme) may have low contrast ratios that do not carry meaningful content.
- Third-party embedded content (e.g. Stripe checkout, OAuth provider screens) is outside our direct control.
- AI-generated content may not always be structured with optimal heading hierarchy.
We are actively working to address these areas and welcome your feedback.
5. Feedback and contact
If you encounter an accessibility barrier or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us:
Email: kontakt@personal-plaza.de
We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 14 days and to provide a reasonable accommodation where possible.
6. Enforcement
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the competent supervisory authority. In Germany, this is the Bundesfachstelle Barrierefreiheit (Federal Accessibility Competence Centre).
