Policy
Circulus community features exist to help applicants make better decisions — with real experiences, not noise. These rules sit alongside our Terms and Privacy Policy.

This is a practical policy for a live product, not legal advice. Have it reviewed for your jurisdiction before launch. We spell out what we expect so moderation is predictable and fair.
The community area includes Q&A, anonymized admit profiles, and mentor listings. Everyone here is navigating high-stakes decisions. The goal is useful signal: grounded stories, clear questions, and respectful debate — not outrage, spam, or unattributed claims presented as fact.
Do not impersonate institutions, admissions offices, or other users. If you share stats or outcomes, they should reflect what you actually know. Circulus does not verify every claim; readers should treat community content as personal perspective, not official guidance — and always confirm deadlines and requirements on official sources.
Admit profiles are anonymized by design. Do not try to deanonymize others or yourself in ways that could identify real people without consent. Submissions are reviewed before publication; we may reject or edit content that risks identification or contains misleading statistics.
Mentors volunteer context from their own experience. They are not representatives of Circulus or of universities unless explicitly stated. Session requests should stay on-topic; mentors and mentees should agree on boundaries (time, channel, expectations) in good faith. We may deactivate mentor profiles that repeatedly generate complaints or violate these guidelines.
Signed-in users can report questions and answers that may break these rules. Reports are reviewed by moderators; not every report results in removal — we weigh context, severity, and patterns. You can read how reporting works in the report dialog when you flag content.
For serious issues (e.g. credible threats, illegal content), contact us directly (see below) and, where appropriate, local authorities.
We may hide content, suspend community participation, or close accounts that violate these guidelines or our Terms of Service. We aim to be proportionate: a clear mistake is not always treated like repeat abuse. There is no guarantee of a specific response time.
