MASTER · Industrial Energy Processes, Master of Science (Technology)
Aalto University · Espoo, Finland
Industrial processes generate approximately 20 % of all greenhouse gas emissions globally. On the other hand, industry already uses a lot of renewable energy in its own energy production processes. Therefore, decarbonization of industrial processes and enhancing the use of renewable energy in industrial energy conversion play a key role to reach carbon neutrality by 2050-2060. To achieve this ambitious goal plenty of new experts with sufficient theoretical and practical skills of industrial energy engineering are needed in the field. If you are interested in a career in energy for our society or want to be involved in the development of industrial energy solutions of the future, then the Master’s Programme in Advanced Energy Solutions may be the perfect match for you. The Industrial Energy Processes and Sustainability major gives students a basic and advanced understanding of the industrial energy processes, outlines the main challenges energy solutions in industry are facing today, and introduces possible ways towards a sustainable future.
