Health Business Management is a Master’s degree program for Bachelors of Business Administration professionals who have work experience from and/or career plans to work in the restructuring of social and health care field. With a multidisciplinary approach, innovative solutions and new business models are sought after to renew the sector: how to provide services economically and efficiently, yet maintaining high quality and human-oriented scope in all decisions and activities. Business graduates, engineering graduates, as well as graduates from Health Care and Social Services, will jointly tackle the various problem-solving situations and learning tasks. Sharing everyone’s expertise brings added value. The HBM Master’s students will be offered an environment to practice and enhance their international and communication skills in a very multicultural group of peers, staff and faculty. Thesis (30 ECTS): Students demonstrate independent research and development capabilities within their area of expertise. The thesis also serves as evidence of the student’s academic communication skills. It is often carried out in cooperation with the student's employer, public/private sector organisations, Metropolia's innovation hubs, or other partners.
