What competencies does the graduate have? Music pedagogues are experts in the field of music. The studies have trained them in their instrument, playing music in ensemble, music perception skills, conducting and creativity as well as 60 ECTS of teacher studies giving them skills and qualifications to work as a teacher. The graduates also have a working knowledge of entrepreneurship in music and productization and selling their skill set. What kind of learning methods are used in the education? The studies include practical intensive courses, projects and productions. Practical training is most typically completed by teaching in music schools. What kind of career opportunities does the graduate have? The primary employment is in teaching, either teaching an instrument or music perception, from elementary level to conducting choirs or orchestras in music schools or in different communities or self-employed. Many of the music pegagogues work as accompanists, play in orchestras, or perform as a musician. The expertise can also be used as an instructor, teacher or in an expert position in companies offering courses or any education.
